Pharmacodynamics . Trivalumene is a combined herbal preparation, the effect of which is due to the synergistic properties of the components that make up its composition. The esters of borneol and isovaleric acid, which are contained in valerian, reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, reduce tension and irritability during mental overload, show sedative, hypnotic, spasmolytic properties. In addition, a complex phytocomplex of biologically active substances valerian has a cholagogue effect, enhances the secretory activity of the glands of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, slows the heart rate, expands the coronary vessels of the heart. Activity of hop cones is caused by essential oil and bitter resin, which contain bitter substances (humulon, lupulon and aliphatic terpentine alcohols), phytoncid substances, group B and C vitamins, tocopherols and substances having estrogenic effect. They excite appetite, improve bile secretion, have a diuretic effect, act soothingly in a state of arousal and insomnia, have an anti-inflammatory effect. The action of drugs from hop cones is associated with lupulin, which has a calming effect on the central nervous system. Flavonoids, hormones and vitamins, which are found in the plant, cause painful properties of cones of hops.
The pharmacological effect of peppermint is mainly associated with menthol, as well as terpenes, tannins, bitter substances and organic acids.
