Composition of the medicinal product

active ingredients: 1 g of solution contains Arnica 0.005 g, Aurum chloratum D4 0.1 g, Convallaria majalis D1 0.1 g, Crataegus 0.4 g, Ignatia D4 0.1 g
auxiliary substances: sucrose, ethanol 96%, purified water.

Dosage form

Oral solution. Dark brown liquid with the smell of alcohol, spicy, earthy.

Pharmacological group

Complex homeopathic preparation.

The aurocard contains five separate ingredients that complement each other in the treatment of mild heart failure.Ingredients such as Crataegus, Aurum chloratum and Arnica are effective in case of insufficient blood supply to the heart (coronary insufficiency), caused by atherosclerosis. They show a stimulating effect with weakness of the heart muscle. In addition, these ingredients should have a persistent therapeutic effect with symptoms such as palpitations, weakness, uneven heartbeats. Convallaria is successfully used for heart weakness and heart rhythm disturbances.Ignatia primarily affects psycho-emotional disorders, which can manifest in the form of somatic (cardiac) disorders.

In the complex treatment of heart failure of mild severity.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to plants of the family Asteraceae (Compositae) or to other components of the drug, as well as in the therapy of cardiac glycosides (eg digitoxin, digoxin), hypokalemia, severe arterial hypotension and bradycardia.

The drug contains 48 vol. % Alcohol, so it can not be taken to patients suffering from alcoholism.

Appropriate safety measures for use

The drug contains cardiac glycosides. For hypersensitivity to cardiac glycosides in patients with liver or kidney disorders, hypothyroidism, oxygen deficiency (hypoxia), myocarditis, after a heart attack or acid-base balance disturbance and electrolyte balance (eg, hyperkalemia), should be performed under the supervision of a physician .

Note: sensitivity to glycosides in patients may differ.

Dosing and Administration

Adults take 5 drops of a solution 1-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 15 drops, since the drug contains cardiac glycosides.

The solution should be taken half an hour before or half an hour after a meal, keeping its time in the mouth before swallowing. If necessary, the drug can be dissolved in a small amount of water.

The duration of treatment is determined by the course of the disease and the nature of complex therapy.

It is not recommended to use the drug for more than a few weeks without consulting a physician (see also section "Required precautions for use").

Overdose

The use of a large amount of the drug can lead to intoxication with cardiac glycosides of the lily of the valley May. When an overdose of cardiac glycosides of the lily of the valley may develop the same symptoms as with alcoholic intoxication with digitalis. The main symptoms of an overdose include heart rhythm disturbances, nausea and vomiting, vision disorders, dizziness, confusion and hallucinations.

Side effects

Preparations containing Convallaria majalis (lily of the valley) can cause the following side reactions:

  • from the side of the cardiovascular system: irregular heartbeat and heart rhythm disturbances.
  • from the senses: blurred vision (for example, changes in perception of colors in the yellow / green areas).

Arnicae (arnica) can cause the following side reactions: hypersensitivity reactions, irritation of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, palpitations, increase and decrease in heart rate, soft connective paralysis, respiratory failure.

Crategus (hawthorn) can cause the following side reactions: drowsiness, significant slowing of the heart rhythm, allergic reactions are possible (including hyperemia, rash, itching, swelling of the skin)

Since the registration of the drug Aurocard, no data on adverse reactions have been recorded.

Interaction with other drugs and other interactions

The effectiveness and side effects of the drug Aurocard are enhanced with simultaneous use of quinidine, calcium preparations, diuretics and laxatives, as well as long-term treatment with drugs containing cortisone.

The drug can increase the effect of hypnotics, sedatives, hypotensive drugs. Reception with salts of alkaloids is not recommended in connection with the possibility of formation of negative complexes.

Shelf life

5 years. Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package.
