Valerian tincture (Tinctura Valerianae) instructions for use
Composition
Valerian rhizomes with roots, ethyl alcohol 70%
Indications for use:
Functional disorders of the central nervous system (increased emotional excitability, irritability, sleep disorders, etc.).cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia).
Contraindications:
Valerian tincture is contraindicated in patients with depression and other disorders that are accompanied by depression of the central nervous system, as well as with individual intolerance to any of the components of the drug.
As the composition of the drug includes ethyl alcohol, tincture is not recommended for women during pregnancy and lactation, children under the age of 12 years.
Mode of application:
Valerian tincture is taken internally. Adults are recommended to take 20-30 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day to achieve a stable therapeutic effect, children over 12 years - at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life 3-4 times a day.
Storage conditions:
Store at a temperature not higher than + 25 C, in the original packaging, protected from light and out of the reach of children. During storage, precipitation may occur.
Side effects:
The drug, as a rule, is well tolerated, however, in some patients, depression of emotional reactions, drowsiness, decrease in working capacity can be observed. With individual hypersensitivity, it is possible to develop allergic reactions (reddening of the skin, rash, itching, etc.). In case of occurrence of any unusual reactions necessarily consult with the doctor concerning the further application of a preparation.
