Pharmacological properties

Hawthorn fruit containing biologically active substances (flavonoids, choline, acetylcholine, tannins, phytosterols, triterpene acids), increase blood circulation in coronary vessels and brain vessels, reduce the excitability and increase the contractility of the heart muscle, renew the content of electrolytes in the blood and components of the coagulating and anti-coagulation systems, reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, have a hypotensive effect.
