HEMORRON instructions for use

Composition

active ingredients : phenylephrine hydrochloride, shark liver fat (vitamin A)

Combined drug, the effect of which is due to the properties of its constituents, promotes resorption of hemorrhoids and provides a rapid elimination of painful burning, itching and other discomfort phenomena inside and outside the anus.

Fat shark liver (vitamin A) has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, hemostatic action, stimulates reparative processes, promotes healing of wounds and microcracks.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride - alpha-adrenomimetic, has a local vasoconstrictive effect, reduces edema, itching, normalizes the relationship between the influx and outflow of blood in the cavernous corpuscles of the rectum.

The effect of the drug comes very quickly after its application and lasts from 30 minutes to 4:00. The metabolism of the drug that enters the general bloodstream occurs in the liver. It is excreted by the kidneys and with feces.

Indications

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug components, significant arterial hypertension, tachyarrhythmia, cardiac conduction disorder, decompensated heart failure, severe renal and hepatic insufficiency, thyrotoxicosis, acute pancreatitis, concomitant use with MAO inhibitors or within 15 days after discontinuation of treatment with MAO inhibitors, thromboembolic disease, granulocytopenia.

Overdose.

Side effects

Interaction with other drugs and other interactions

Do not use together with other vasoconstrictors in any route of administration of the latter, as well as with β-adrenoblockers, simultaneous intake of which can lead to hypertension and excessive bradycardia with possible cardiac blockade.

Atropine sulfate blocks reflex bradycardia and increases the vasopressor effect caused by phenylephrine.

It should be used with thyroid hormones, preparations that affect cardiac conduction (cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs).

When used with drugs that excrete potassium (diuretics such as furosemide), it is possible to increase hypokalemia and reduce arterial sensitivity to phenylephrine.

Simultaneous reception with other sympathomimetics can lead to additional stimulation of the central nervous system to an extremely high level, accompanied by irritability, insomnia, convulsions.
